What populations are you interested in working with?
Anyone who seeks to more authentically understand their suffering and strength. I am particularly interested in working with folks in the LGBTQ+ community or people who have dealt with addiction in any way.
How would you define your approach with clients?
My approach is trauma-informed, empowerment-focused, and based on active consent. Simply put, we will build trust, you will be listened to without judgment. Treating the whole person, each part together. Tailoring a plan for each client, drawing heavily on mind-body therapy techniques such as ISTDP (intensive short-term dynamic psychotherapy), complemented by IFS, DBT, and CBT. In my experience, it is both challenging and rewarding to help clients find agency in bridging the mind-body connection, helping to mitigate symptoms of depression, anxiety and other manifestations of pain. To do this kind of work, I believe you must consider the whole person.
